If so, how much do they invest per algorithm, and what is the percentage of money they pay to the 10 top algorithms?

Does Quantopian use top 10 algorithms to perform real investment?
Earlier this year Quantopian shut down the market-neutral strategy and are no longer funding algorithms. See the post announcing this, with more specifics, here https://www.quantopian.com/posts/quantopian-strategic-pivot. That said, before then, the decision to license specific algorithms was never driven exclusively by the position on the leaderboard. While that certainly was an input, other subjective measures fed into the decision.
