Hi Douglas,
The short answer is yes. The long answer is that we have a queue of datasets that we have on our to-add list. The order at which they are added depends on a number of factors including:
- how likely is the data source to be of value to an algorithm (strong source of alpha, risk mitigation, etc.)?
- how reliable is the data?
- what's the format of the data?
- how different is the data from what we already offer in the store?
Ideally, the dataset is of great value, gets delivered every night at the exact same time, is in a format perfectly readable by an existing loader that we already have (we're flexible on this one), and is completely different from everything we already have.
If you're interested in pitching a dataset to us, my recommended first step would be to email [email protected] with a description of the dataset so we can tell you if it's something we'd consider. If we're interested, the next step is to demonstrate that the data has value. A good way to do this is by using Fetcher to import it into an algo and run a backtest + paper trade it. Paper trading is also good for demonstrating the reliability.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Cheers,
Jamie
