I see there is a data source for CEO changes, but it doesn't seem to include the names of the former & new CEO. Is that right? I'd also like to know if information is available about board member or high-ranking executive names.
Is there an existing way to get at this information within a trading strategy in Quantopian?
The full data set indeed has the incoming CEO (in_ceoname) and outgoing CEO name (out_ceoname). You can view this data in Research using the interactive namespace. Click on the "Example Notebook" link on the CEO Changes product page and you can see this and more. https://www.quantopian.com/data/eventvestor/ceo_change
There is not yet a factor built that uses this data but it is on the queue for being built, likely in a similar fashion to the factor built for Earnings Calendar. Is there something about the name that you'd want to use in the strategy? (that's not typically a field I'd think would be useful in an algorithm)
