Data availability

I understand that data is not available for download.

... Is it also not possible to view any data set/s online?

Well, you can use the Research platform to examine, plot and compute any calculation you like with data.

Ok,

So it's entirely possible to manipulate data and gain statistical insights online to the same extent that I might with the raw data on a hard-drive at home?

(Any plans to add Australian equities down the road?)

Thanks!

John,

I would say yes, using Research, which is a hosted version of iPython.

Built-into research are a wide variety of data sources.

get_pricing() provides you access to US Equities market data from 2002 - present. Likewise, get_fundamentals() provides you access to fundamental data for US companies over the same timeframe.

We also provide 24 data sets from a variety of vendors built-into Research, documented with example notebooks for each set for things like earnings estimates, earnings calendars, news sentiment and much more.

One of the advantages of all these sets over doing it yourself at home is that we've done the symbol mapping to unique id's for you so that TWTR in 2002 in these data sets will refer to Tweeter, Inc and Twitter in 2015.

US futures is the next tradeable market for us.

Hope that helps,
Josh
