Cython isn't available on the web platform. You can use it locally on your machine with Zipline.

Thanks Alisa,
Well, could it be supported? It seems it is being used as part of the pipeline release, so you must have it working on your platform.

Many Python components used within our platform aren't available within Quantopian algorithms. For example, it wouldn't be a great idea for us to let algorithms do subprocess.call(('/bin/rm', '-rf', '/')).
Cython code would have complete access to the entire memory space of the Python process and therefore could bypass security restrictions. It is therefore not feasible for us to allow it.
Anything one could do in Cython on Quantopian can also be done in pure Python. Cython's only advantage is that sometimes it can be optimized more than Python. We are constantly working on improving Quantopian's performance -- and indeed there are some improvements currently working their way through our development pipeline which I'm confident will make our users quite happy -- and we're always interested in hearing from our users about use cases where they'd like to see better performance.
