crowd representation on Quantopian board of directors?

Any plans to include "crowd" representation on the Quantopian board (or however the company is run at a high level)? It seems like a truly crowd-sourced hedge fund should be run, in part, by the crowd. Otherwise, there is the risk of "the man" ruling over "the crowd."

Excellent idea Grant. Not only would they represent the crowd but Q could also bring additional skills in to help conquer obstacles. (Lets see if we can make Bernanke develop an algo...)

@Grant, you ol' rabble-rouser, are you planning to stage a coup?

I have a lot of experience with open source software communities. Corporations who are "community-friendly" often have an employee who is assigned the role of "Community Advocate" or similar title. I think this type of role could be beneficial in fostering goodwill with the community.

FYI - I have had a great experience when interacting with Quantopian employees thus far.

the community should be allowed to vote on who they want to represent them

Well, no response yet from Q and their VC's....maybe it'll be on the agenda at their next meeting. Might be worth a head-scratch as to the relationship between the crowd and the business. Keep in mind that Q got kicked off with power to the people (at least that was my interpretation):
