Create lists from trading universe

Hey guys,

I would like to create two lists that are extracted from a trading universe after filtering for stocks I'm not interested in trading. One containing the tickers of the stocks and the other containing the sid-numbers.

Assuming that I use the filter-structure given in the attached notebook; does anyone know how to collect the sid-numbers and the symbols of the tradeable stocks (true) into two seperate lists/arrays?

Feedback is much appreciated.

The following code will populate your two lists of symbols and sids respectively.

After the reset_index call, the dataframe makes the equity index a column, which makes populating the lists a bit cleaner. You can also check it out in the notebook I've attached.

Let me know if you have any questions!

result = result.reset_index()
tradeable_stocks = result[result["Tradeable stocks"] == True]['level_1']
symbols = [e.symbol for e in tradeable_stocks]
sids = [e.sid for e in tradeable_stocks]
