I wanted to see if anyone was interested in exploring quantopian as a group. I am just beginning to write algorithms on quantopian and would like to find and work with other people.
I am a data scientist by training interested in working in finance.

Glad to hear you want to get a group together to explore Quantopian. I wanted to point out that we run a Chicago meetup group. Here is the link. You can find others in the area interested as well as keep up to date on any meetups, webinars, hackathons, or workshops we run. Another Chicago group, ChiPy, also puts on meetups that often are tied to Quantopian. You can check them out here.
