Cant access Date index from custom data set (USING NOTEBOOK)

Hello I'm trying to access the date column from this bitcoin.csv file yet I can't figure out how to get the code into a pandas data frame. I have tried:

data = run_pipeline(pipe, '2014-09-17', '2020-05-24')
df= data.index
AND HAVE ALSO TIRED
df = data['Date']

the latter doesnt seem to work but df = data.index seems to get the numbers in a data frame but when ploting using matplotlib it will not plot, says "Buffer has wrong number of dimensions (expected 1, got 2)" Importing the 'open', 'close', and any other columns seems fine but wont work with date. Below is the code from my pipeline. Any help is welcomed thanks.

The 'primary date' field in the original CSV file can be accessed in a pipeline as asof_date. This is a field which is automatically generated for each self-serve dataset and is a copy of the 'primary_date' column in the CSV file. You could access it something like this

from quantopian.pipeline.data.user_xxx import btc

pipe = Pipeline(
    columns={
        'open': btc.open.latest,
        'asof_date': btc.asof_date.latest
    },
)

Will that get what you wanted?
