Can we run quantopian code in normal text editor?

Newbie here :-)

Q1) What I know is quantopian is an ide which uses zipline module but we can use zipline directly in some text editor like sublime,atom,etc...
What extra benefit we get while using quatopian as an ide? Q2) If quantopian gives extra tools for backtesting then after backtesting, can I copy code in quantopian and paste in other ide for running my program?Or I have to make tons of changes to run it in other ide?

One major benefit of the quantopian ide is the data access, some of those premium datasets are a lot more expensive outside of the platform.

Eric but can we copy code from quantopian and paste in different ide without making any changes? Will my program still run?

The data importing method would be different, and if a metric is available on the Quantopian platform and not available from another data source you might have to add some calculations to create that metric from the other data source.

Pawan, I am a newbee in Quantopian and I have the same query. Could you run your quantopian program in other ide?
