Can the Community get a Forum?

The website is pretty light-weight/lean and "progressive", but is there a practical purpose that the community posts are one giant linear post history? That's about as useful as a tweet except there isn't even trending?

Well anyway, glad to be here, I'm looking through the lectures now and this is all very interesting! I think Quantopian has a lot to offer and is a great resource and a great expression for mathematical aptitude. A functional forum might improve that ability to make discussions and share ideas.

I agree that this forum has many limitations that make hard to find the excellent information buried within.

One work-around that many of us do is to use Google to search for things. (use "site:quantopian.com your search goes here")

Another useful community tool is to join our Slack chatroom.

If anyone else has tips or ideas, please share them!

We definitely need a better forum with specific categories (research papers, shared algorithms, data-related stuff, members presentation, etc.).

I think this was discussed I proposed the idea a couple of months ago, the answer was they won't go with the bb forum approach but improve this forum

I think this was the last thread on the topic of community improvements. I look forward to shipping some changes in the relatively near future!

Hi ID Neon and Tristan,

In the spirit of improved readability we've been collecting links to Quantopian algos, trading methods, etc. in a structured way on the quantapolis.com wiki. I'm very much looking forward to the new version of Quantopian's forum.
