Hi,
I just opened an account with IB and would like to test my model on its paper account. However, whenever I try to connect to IB through quantopian, when logging in, it always pop up a window saying Unknown Error - Sorry, something went wrong.
I am wondering if anyone else had that problem?

Hi Remy
It sounds like your IB host may have hit a bug trying to connect to your account. The IB host is the medium of communication between your Quantopian algorithm and IB. The issue seems could be a bug in the IB host software or our integration of the software.
If this is the problem, we don't yet have a reliable solution for this issue, but I do know that a few members have hit a similar issue and resolved it by trying to login again. It sometimes takes multiple attempts to re-login, but unfortunately, this is the only solution that there is at this time. We are working to come up with a better long-term solution.
Without more detail, however, I can't say with 100% certainty that this is the issue. Do you think you could email in to [email protected] with the URL to your live algorithm dashboard that failed to start?

Thank you for the reply. I think you are right. By re-trying several times it works. And it does fail sometimes even if I succeeded once. So probably there are glitches in the connection mechanism. Right now, I am able to connect no problem.
