Can I use Bloomberg data in Quantopian via the Bloomberg API?

If I have access to a Bloomberg terminal, can I source data from Bloomberg via the Bloomberg API and use it in Quantopian? Thanks.

To copy any data off a terminal to be used in another system you would need their Data Licence product or something similar, your normal terminal licence wouldn't cover it, live exchange data would be extra. Their SAPI product works with a lot of 3rd party systems but that's not cheap. You could always 'Help Help' to confirm.

Thank Robert. Bloomberg Help Desk suggests Bloomberg data can be used.

Does Quantopian support an external data feed like Bloomberg (it is not part of the premium data package)?

Hi Parul,

Quantopian can support external data if it is in the form of a .csv file, through Fetcher. So this would work if Bloomberg's data feed is in the form of a .csv, or if you could find a way to convert it.
