Hi,
I am new to this community, and I really like it.
My question is like the subject line, so can I change the benchmark return when doing back testing?

Hello Yi,
Welcome to the community! I'm glad you like it.
At this time the benchmark is hard-coded. We agree it should be configurable! It's something we'll change in the future. We've started the work, but it's actually pretty complex because the benchmark is pretty tightly intertwined in the backtester.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Yi, our benchmark is currently the S&P 500. As Dan said, it will become configurable at some point.
In the meantime, to hide the benchmark graph from backtest results charts, you can click on the red Benchmark series legend. But, of course, all the risk calculations that involve benchmark data will still be calculated the same way.
thanks,
Jean, Quantopian
