Is it a system wide problem or just me not able to generate tear sheets for 10+ years backtests. I have had them stall in about 15 different attempts over last couple of weeks, no matter how long I give to run (several hours).

Hey, I had the same thing. Every time you create a new notebook with the 'create tear sheet' function you'll notice a small bar at the top labeled 'research memory' mine was running at 80% which I found was making my tear sheets crash out at 70% complete. If you open up the notebook tab on your dashboard you might notice that your previous tear sheets/notebooks are still running I paused them and the research memory dropped to 3% which immediately let me finished the tear sheet that kept crashing. J
I also found that the new notebooks created by the 'analyze back test' button fails to complete and keeps hanging, but the original notebook cloned from PYFOLIO provides results in reasonable time. Maybe it is the lingering 'researching memory' from prior failed runs that James alluded to that keeps adding up - thanks for that tip - went ahead and removed all the individual tear sheet notebooks. Fingers crossed.
