Better Exit Strategies

I have spent some years developing algorithmic systems in C# on the Ninjatrader platform which by the way is bar none years ahead of anything out there a retail trader can develop algorithms with. Coming here to quantopian was inspired only by that they have a API connection with Robinhood now and the idea to be able to algo trade commission free is of great advantage. After having developed strategies for mostly futures and Forex and having developed literately several thousand strategies and somewhat ruining my health do it. I know this is a very fundamental based trading community here and have looked at many of the exits that are used on posted strategies of which many are very similar. I have found the best exits using indicators such as a TMA crossover with deviation or a floating keltner channel with or a VWAP crossover. The idea is to make exits non correlated for a smoother equity curve and let the winners run longer. Year of testing using indicators only to enter strategies has proven to me quite the opposite. Only a few indicators showed promise and they had to be coded to to identify a particular pattern within that indicator. If anyone is curious on what indicator based strategies look like google big mike futures and then do a search for contest. I won several algo trading contests when Mike still ran the contest , you would probably have to download Ninjatrader 7 to be able to see most of the codes. I hope the folks with Qantopian look at Ninjatraders way of development and bring it here.

PS.. please don't ask me what the patterns are or what indicators that did work.. that's my secret sauce now.
