Beginner Tutorial Results Different From Expected?

Seeking Help Getting Started Fundamentals

Hello, I am new to algo trading and was following the popular quantopian youtube tutorial here. I copied the first algo exactly, ran it on the same securities, during the same time frame, and even had the same amount of initial capital. However, my algo did far worse than the one in the video. Can someone please explain to me why our results may be so different even when we are using the same algo with the same parameters.

It may help to note that in the video a slightly older version of quantopian is used. Could this be caused by a big change in the quantopian versions?
