Data for (IPHI and BIIB) are not present in 3/8 data, so the data from 3/7 is being used.
BarData for BIIB on 3/8/2014 shows data = 2 when it should be 'null'
Is there a way to disable this 'filling' of data?

If there is a missing date, the data in your CSV will be forward-filled. Unfortunately there's no way to turn off this setting. I'd suggest to populate missing dates with an empty universe in the file if you don't want your algo to trade.
Or better yet, use Pipeline to create your stock universe based on dynamic criteria instead of a static list.
