Backtester down?

The backtester is currently down for all my algorithms.
As usually, I press the button "Build Algorithm" and then the following messages occur:

  • Initialize...
  • Loading Pipeline data...
  • Something went wrong. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Am I the only one with the problem?

You're not, I've the same issue

It must be a bug... I cannot find any maintenance notice from Q.

Hey guys, thanks for reporting this issue. We're looking into it.

Thanks a lot, I've got the notice:

Quantopian Incident - Backtesting Platform Unavailable
https://quantopian.statuspage.io/incidents/z03h8p8t099c

Hello Chris,

Thanks, this works fine now.

I've tried redeploying my paper-trading algorithms and they're still receiving errors, will the previously trading algorithms be reinstated?

I get this error message below in paper trading:

HoldoutError: Pipeline attempted to access data that is held out of research and backtesting. Outside of the contest, the following datasets are only available through 2018-11-01: - quantopian.pipeline.data.EquityPricing

Do we need to modify our paper trading code?

I have the same mistake.

@BGRM , would you please try running a backtest with the algorithm in question, then send us an email detailing whether it worked or not?

@Alexander , if you are having the same problem as BGRM, would you please do the same?

Thank you

I have the same problem, the backtest works good, but paper trading is still down due to the error.

The backtest runs perfectly.
The error message states:
HoldoutError: Pipeline attempted to access data that is held out of research and backtesting. Outside of the contest, the following datasets are only available
through 2018-11-01: - quantopian.pipeline.data.EquityPricing

This date is not included in the backtest.

Shu, are you receiving this error:

HoldoutError: Pipeline attempted to access data that is held out of research and backtesting. Outside of the contest, the following datasets are only available through 2018-11-01: - quantopian.pipeline.data.EquityPricing

If so, can you please email in?

Yes, I received this error when I host a new paper trading even though I removed reference to quantopian.pipeline.data.EquityPricing in my code.

Already sent a message to support.

Thanks for the reports, everyone. We have identified the problem and we are working on the fix. We will update this thread once paper trading is working again.
