I am new to this website. I understand that this site can be used to backtest algorithms. However, can anyone comment on where algo trading can be done with real money?
The answer soon will be: here. We're working on improving our live trading functionality. It will be a while more before we get to open beta - after Labor Day, at earliest. Until then, backtesting and paper trading are available for you.

One more question. Would you also support trading in other foreign exchanges, ADR conversions, forex, etc when it goes live?
Our first release supports traded US securities - that will include some ADRs. Forex and futures are some of our most-requested features, and will be next on the list, but not at launch.

To start live trading connects to Interactive Brokers accounts only (we plan to add other brokerages as we go).

We are in limited beta, but are adding people to the pilot program gradually - so it's definitely worth getting on the list now. Our plan is to open the program up more broadly in January.

Dan, you mentioned launch. When will that be? Is that specific to live-trading, or broader functionality?
The launch in this context is the open beta of live trading. When we get to that launch, anyone with an IB account will be able to start trading through IB. Trading through IB of course includes both IB's paper trading accounts and their real money accounts.
As Jess said, we're adding people to the pilot program as we continue to improve the site. We work closely with pilot users to find the roughest edges. We add more pilot users week to week to expand the testing.
